Graph Beam Forces

By selecting the 'Graph Beam Forces' option, you can view the displacements, or rotations, of any beam over the fire period.

To do this:

1. Open the "Results | Graph Beam Forces" dialog box.

2. Select the load case and temperature curve that you wish to view the results for.

3. In the 'Output What' box, select the displacements you wish to view.  X, Y and Z refer to displacements along the global axes, whilst RX, RY and RZ refer to rotations.

4.  In the 'Where' box, select whether you would like to show the results at the start (first node), end (last node) or middle (mid-node) of the beam.

5. Using the mouse, select the beams you wish to view the results for (e.g. select beam 38).  The results will be plotted in graphical form in a new window.

6. You may find it more useful to see the results in individual graphs.  If this is the case, select the 'charts' and 'by DOF' options and click the button marked 'Excel'.  Provided your computer is equipped with MS Excel, the individual graphs for the beams you have selected will open in a workbook:
