Specifying the Reinforcement Bars
As with the main elements, the steel bars that make up the slab reinforcement must also be generated and correctly specified. It is preferable to carry out this action now, as you will need to use these rebars during the slab generation process.
To do this:
1. Open the 'Properties | Reinforcement Bars' dialog box.
2. Select the 'Add' tab. A reference number for the rebar (i.e. '1') should be automatically generated.
3. Ensure that the required reinforcement bar properties are in the relevant boxes (i.e. Yield stress = 460, Young's Modulus = 210,000 and Hot Roll Type = Cold Worked)
