Generating a Grid - Decide a Grid Size


 

The selection of an appropriate mesh density for the proposed structural grid is crucial and it is often appropriate to conduct mesh sensitivity studies before attempting a complete analysis.

 

Typically, elements should be between 1.0 m and 2.0 m and slab elements should be approximately square.
